Throwback Thursday Blog Style Vol. 1

After finishing all of the recaps for our road trip, I was telling Kickass Cousin that I wish I could link my blog to Timehop.  That got me thinking about how I didn't have anything scheduled/planned for today.  How convenient that the only day I hadn't thought about for this week was a Thursday.  With that "Throwback Thursday Blog Style" was born.  This won't happen weekly, it may not even happen every month honestly.  From time to time though when I have nothing planned for a Thursday I'll take a look back at my blog posts from that day in history.  It's interesting to see how certain things have changed tremendously with my blog while other things seem to be the exact same.

I'll include a link back to each post & then current commentary.  The pictures aren't necessarily related but from as close to that date as I have on my computer.

Packing & Distraction: I had to read this one a couple of times to try to remember what was going on.  I'm still not quite sure ha.  At the point I had recently finished my 3rd year of college which means I was living with 3 of my girl friends.  I'm pretty sure I was working at Gander Mountain.  Actually I know I was.  I wasn't going home every weekend like I had my freshman year but I was still going home about once a month so I could do laundry for free...and see my family of course.  I STILL make packing lists.  I will never stop making packing lists.  You'll be relieved to know that we managed to get all of our stuff in one suitcase for Vegas just fine ha.

Five For Friday: First of all, it bothers me so much that I double posted.  I don't know why it bothers me but it does.  I used to do this on a fairly regular basis.  Considering how short, & kind of pointless, each of these posts are they could have very easily been combined.  Anyway...  I used to follow a blog called Jessica Lynn Writes & every Friday she would do a post called Five For Friday where she would list 5 things she loved about her husband or 5 things she was looking forward to with her husband.  I loved the idea so I did it for my boyfriend at the time.  I honestly don't remember bringing him to & from work and I can only assume that meant him getting into college, which one I don't remember.  He had gone to 2 different colleges for 2 different programs & as far as I know never finished either.  We broke up 3.5 months after that post.

Hot Mess: It is apparent by reading this post, and the packing post above, that I have packing/unpacking issues.  I would like you all to know that this hasn't changed.  For vacations I make lists.  For big time moves I do not.  When it comes to moving I am not a good packer.  You'd think after the countless times I've moved in my life I'd have a system.  I don't.  But I know you're all mostly concerned with my 4 lost items.  Glasses: found!  Astros T-Shirt: one of my roommates accidentally packed it in her stuff & brought it back to Ohio...I never saw it again.  Go To Hell T-Shirt: Found!  I also still have it...I wore it a couple weeks ago.  Bobby Pins: No clue if I found those or not.  I've also never been a huge bobby pin wearer so I'm not sure why I even cared...

#SorryNotSorry: If you're only going to read one of my TBT posts this is the one to read.  Remember the good ol days when we used to hump along with Kathy?  I miss those days too...  I never did write a review of that pornographic book like I talked about doing.  I'll give you the short of it...it's a love story, with an action packed twist, & sex...lots & lots of intense sex.  I don't even remember what it's called.  I lent it to Kickass Cousin...I wonder if she ever read it...  Mr. Fireman never did see where I'm from.  Not quite 3 months after I wrote that we actually stopped talking until not even a month ago when he requested to be my friend on Facebook.  We don't talk now either... it was more just a "I'm glad you're doing well" "Ditto" the end.
