Monday Morning Coffee Vol. 13

Happy Monday!  I'm sure blogland will be quiet today as it's a 3 day weekend for most.  I'm not at work today either.  My weekend has pretty much just consisted of packing & moving some things out of my apartment & into storage though so I figured, why not just recap today anyway since that is essentially what today holds in store as well.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend & is being safe!

Friday
Despite just watching movies all week, the last full week of school wore me out.  I was too tired to even go to the chiropractor like I had planned.  Instead I went home, made some tea, & turned on That 70s Show until going to bed.

Saturday
Saturday on the other hand was a busy day!  I had to take Nash to the vet at 9 am to get him his kennel cough vaccine as well as a new 3 month supply of his flea/tick & heartworm medicines.  His 3 month supply of medicine & vaccine only cost me $100 & that is why I never want to have to find him a new vet & why it is worth the 45 minute drive once every 3 months.

After getting home from the vet I was able to very briefly get a couple things done at home before going to my own appointment.  As of right now I am officially off blood pressure meds!  It has been normal on it's own for a little over a week without meds, in fact my meds were dropping it too low & I was on the lowest dose possible.  When I went in I was textbook 120/80.  So no more meds for me!

I needed new sunglasses because somehow mine got bent to shit the other day & there is no way I can make a 1100 mile drive without sunglasses.  I also thought I'd try to find a cute top to go with a skirt that I recently bought.  I didn't find a top but I did find a dress to wear to a wedding this summer.

I took a nap & ate the last of the food out of my fridge so I could get all of my dishes done to pack up.  (They still aren't packed by the way.)  The dishes are basically all I have left though.  I just need to go get more boxes or a couple of totes.  I can't decide.

That night I met up with Raeann & we wandered around the Stockyards, got a drink at Filthy McNastys, & ate supper at Billy Bob's before watching Gary Allan.  We ended the night by laying in the grass, well she just sat in the grass, near the coliseum.

Almost 4 years ago exactly I drove up from Houston to spend a night in Dallas with Mr. Oklahoma & then meet the girl I was going to live with the next day in Fort Worth.  That night Mr. Oklahoma & I went to the Stockyards for dinner & I laid in that grass while he took a phone call that would forever change our lives & the path we were on.  I never saw him again after that night & spoke to him only twice after that.  A couple months later I officially moved up to Fort Worth.  Then a couple of years ago Raeann & I had our first big bonding moment where we sat in pretty much that same spot crying about boys & life.  It just seemed fitting & poetic to end out last night in the Stockyards in the same spot, minus the tears.  Especially since when I return to Texas I may or may not be living in the DFW area anymore.

Sunday
Sunday I finally got my butt in gear & got pretty much everything packed up (except some of the dishes lol.)  I took a break from packing to drive to Dallas to go to Haystack Burgers.  The softball girls had gotten me a gift card to there so I got a burger & a beer for lunch & then used the rest of it to get a couple of salads to go since I had cleaned out my fridge the day before.

When I was leaving Haystack I notice "Lunchbox Wax."  I've never gotten a wax, & I really don't know that I would.  What I do know though is that I would never get it from a place that referred to my bikini area as a lunchbox...

Once I ran out of boxes & totes I settled in with one of the salads I had bought, Nash, & That 70s Show.

Don't forget to take a moment today to remember just why we have a 3 day weekend.  Remember those who laid their lives on the line for our country.

Girls Weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth

Two of my best friends from college came to visit the first weekend in May.  It was so great to see them since I hadn't seen them since December, & it felt so nice taking a long weekend from work.

I picked them up from the airport around 1:30 on Friday afternoon & dropped them off again around 4:30 Monday afternoon.  We managed to pack a lot into our 75 hours.  If I was still working on my 101 in 1001 list their visit definitely would have counted as "be a tourist in DFW."

Friday night we went out in the Stockyards.  We of course went to Star Cafe for supper because Steak Salad.  Not only would that have been where we went because Sonja had never been & I feel the need to bring anyone, but Kayla asked before I could even suggest it.  I took her when she visited last year.  I'm telling you, it leaves an impression!  After supper we just hit up a couple of different bars down there & made friends with various people at each new place.

We went to brunch at Johnathon's in Oak Cliff.  I had been wanting to go there for awhile, & pretty sure I even suggested it as an option when Kayla was visiting last year when we met up with my friends Helen & Caleb.  We all got The Kure for breakfast & it was SO good!  Sonja & I did the build your own bloody bar while Kayla got a mimosa.  It was such a nice day out for the patio & despite being busy, our waiter was super awesome!

After brunch we wandered around Bishop Arts.  I love each of the different areas of Dallas, well I'm not really an Uptown Girl (cue Billy Joel), but I love how unique each area is.  I definitely like each of them for different occasions.  Anyway, Bishop Arts was Sonja's request.  So we spent the afternoon wandering up & down Bishop Ave in & out of different little boutiques.  At the end I made them take a detour down a side road so that we could go to Wild Detectives for coffee because I needed to be caffeinated.  We had been out super late the night before & still had a night ahead of us.

We went home, changed, hung out for a bit, & then headed to Deep Ellum.  Deep Ellum was Kayla's request & probably my favorite of the Dallas areas.  We had plans of mural hunting, & did see a couple, but hunger won out.  First stop, the Green Room because I am obsessed with their bacon wrapped jalapenos.  We hung out on the rooftop there for a bit sharing some appetizers & having some drinks before heading to Mama Tried.  Mama Tried is fairly new so I had never been there before.  It wasn't quite what I was expecting but the outdoor area was cool.  We played a few rounds of giant Jenga & my friend Raeann stopped by to say hi on the way to a concert.  We all decided that we were hungry though so I took the to Deep Ellum Brewing for some loaded tots.  We called it a night around 10-10:30 & headed back home.

Sunday we headed 2 hours east to Lindale so we could go to Miranda Lambert's Pink Pistol.  Sonja had never been, Kayla loved it last time, & I've managed to find cute stuff there every single time I've gone.  Which really isn't a ton because it's 2 hours away, but I've been a handful of times.  This time I walked away with a dress & a skirt.  Still trying to find tops & shoes to wear with the skirt.  I am open to suggestions!  We of course also got some of Miranda's wine while we were there.  Love & War in Texas used to be attached to the store & it wasn't until writing this post that I learned that in the last year it has changed it's name to Texas Music City.  The food was the same, the decor was the same, I would have never have guessed.  The food there is really good & it was obviously in a convenient location so we had lunch there before heading back to Dallas.

We had accomplished pretty much everything on our to see list by that point except for a few items.  I really wanted to go to a winery or wine bar near me, any winery/wine bar, because there are quite a few by me & I've never been to any of them.  We went to Umbra.  It was a fairly random selection.  We just went to Main St in Grapevine & wandered into the first one we saw that was open.

I also really wanted to go to Cauldron Ice Cream.  I would 100% be lying if I said I wanted to go for any reason other than Instagram.  However, the ice cream really is amazing & the Belgian waffle puff cone...YUM!  I just got salted caramel this time around, but now that I've done my Instagram thing I want to go back & try some other flavors.  They had one called Rose H2O & I'm really interested in that one!

On their last day in Dallas there was only one thing left on the list to do.  But first brunch!  We went to Ellen's in downtown Dallas & of course sat on the patio.  I got shrimp & grits which I have been craving for approximately a year & a half.  The fact that I haven't just gotten them at some point in the last year & a half while living in the south is 100% on me.  But I did it.  I got them.  They were good, not as good as the ones I had a year & a half ago in Deep Ellum, but still good.  I think I'm going to tackle my own this summer...

After brunch it was onto the last thing on our list, The Sixth Floor Museum.  The fact that I've lived in the DFW are for 4 years now, am a history teacher, & have never been there before is a little weird.  I blame it on the fact that you almost never do the touristy things in your own town though.  It was really well done.  You get your own headset with a handheld device that lets you go through the museum at your own pace.

That museum is one of the 5 places you can visit if you get a CityPass.  However with the pass you can only choose 3 of them.  But now that I've done that one, I'm thinking that when I get back from MN this summer I'm going to buy the pass & visit 3 of the other ones (Reunion Tower, Perot Musuem, & Dallas Zoo) before school gets started again.

Because we still had some time to kill before they had to be at the airport & the weather was nice, we ended our busy weekend by just relaxing by the pool listening to some 90s & 2000s hip hop.

Monday Morning Coffee Vol. 10

Happy Monday!  And happy last Monday in April at that!  Including this one, I only have 3 Mondays left of the school year!  Yay!  I'm still waiting to hear back from the job I "interviewed" for so fingers crossed I get good news this week & can head back down to Houston for a second round interview!  And while beggars can't be choosers, if the 2nd interview could be this Tuesday-Thursday or after next Monday that'd be great because I have friends coming in Fri afternoon & leaving Mon night...

Anyway, on with the weekend recap!  Because I have friends coming into town at the end of this week I had high hopes of getting all the things done.  In reality I got a couple of the things done & just relaxed.  The relaxing was nice since next weekend will be pretty go go go.  I also in the back of my mind knew that all of the things wouldn't be getting done.  Let's be honest, they don't arrive until 2 pm on Friday which means all of the cleaning will be done Thursday night & Friday morning.

Friday
Friday I was supposed to have drinks with a friend that I haven't seen in over 2 years.  Those plans fell through & I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of glad.  We were only friends because we had a mutual friend & that "friend" hasn't been in my life for just as long & I'd like to keep it that way.  So instead I drank one of my Minnesota beers & watched the series finale of New Girl & then Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 on Netflix with Nash.

Saturday
The day I thought I would be so productive...  I went to a baby shower for my friend Helen in the morning & then thought I'd get all the things done after.  Oil change, laundromat, general apartment cleaning... None of that happened.  Quick backtrack to the baby shower.  If you have any young kids in your life I highly suggest the book Not Quite Narwhal.  Helen got it as a gift from someone & I loved it.  It says it's for ages 4-7 but I quite enjoyed it as well ha.  Anyway, after the baby shower I took Nash to the dog park for a little bit.  It was getting hot out though so we didn't last too long.  He mostly wanted to sit in the tunnel & watch everyone else anyway.  I watched a couple of movies on Netflix, Bull Durham & The Highway Men, & called it a night.  Sunday me was just going to have to be the productive one...

Sunday
Sunday me was not the productive one.  Okay, I was a little productive.  I took Nash to the dog park in the morning where he played with the big dogs because there were no dogs at the small dog park.  And technically he does weigh enough to be on the big dog side but he's definitely a little fish in a big pond over there...  but he had a blast & it wore him out.  I did take him back later that night to the small dog side & he wasn't having it.  He laid right next to me the whole time so I just took him home.  While I didn't get my oil changed (which I need to stat...I'm close to playing with fire at this point), nor did I go to the laundromat, I did get my nails done!  And I hit up Trader Joe's & dusted!  Baby steps...  The oil change needs to happen ASAP, & the picking up the little things can be done throughout the week, but I don't really want to do the laundromat or big cleaning until Thursday night anyway because someone that lives here sheds like crazy... okay we both do but Nash's fur is more noticeable... I finally started watching Turn on Netflix.  It's only been on my watchlist for years.

Oh!  I also started a new Instagram account...  my old one is still up, & kind of being used, but last Saturday out of nowhere my posts stopped showing up in tagged hashtags & locations.  I took all the normal & suggested measures: stayed off for 3-4 days, changed my hashtags, unlinked my account from everything, reported it (2x), & switched back to a personal account from a business account.  Nothing.  So I'm keeping it up because I've had it since 2012, & because a part of me is hoping that it all starts working again.  But at the same time, it's kind of exciting to start a new one & see how fast I can make that one grow in comparison to my old one.  Plus, it's a fresh start!

Monday Morning Coffee Vol. 9

Happy Monday everyone!  I have another short week this week, and next week actually as well, because of Easter.  This is also the last week of softball which means I'm about to have more free time again.  I hope that everyone had a great weekend & that you have a fabulous week!

Friday
Friday was our last home game of the season.  During the game we had a fundraiser to help out another coach & their family in our district.  I posted more about it on Friday.

Saturday
ERIC CHURCH DAY!!  A million years ago, or 6 months ago, same difference, I bought a ticket to see Eric Church for his Double Down Tour.

The last time I saw him I bought 2 tickets & just hoped I'd find someone to go with me.  That's actually not the first time I've done that.  I did that a few years ago with one of his shows in Memphis.  I did in fact find someone to go with me both times.

This time however, I just bought 1.  I didn't want to have to try to find someone to go with me.  I just wanted to go knowing that I'd enjoy the show & not have to worry about finding someone or not & if that someone would even come close to enjoying it as much as I would.  *Hint* I get as giddy as a school girl when he plays.  That's right, Saturday was 3 hours of me being a giddy little school girl.

During the day on Saturday I did absolutely nothing since it poured all day long & also because I knew I'd need to rest up since I am old and the concert was from about 8:30-midnight.  So during the day Nash & I just played inside, napped, & watched Netflix.

Sunday
Sunday was another chill day.  I woke up at 5 to feed Nash but then we went back to bed until 8:30.  While the extra sleep was nice, I always have the weirdest dreams when I wake up & then decide to go back to sleep.  This time I had a dream that Nash jumped into a pond & I was like, "ahhh I don't know if he can swim!"  But then I ran over to the surprisingly clear pond & he was running around on the bottom with a bunch of Corgis, swam up to the top, got out, & he had shrunk to half his size!  His harness however was still normal size so it just hung there one him...

I finally decided to go to the Minute Clinic because for about a week I've been struggling to breathe.  As in if my mouth is closed I can't.  Just as I suspected I have another sinus infection.  Luckily they got me some antibiotics so fingers crossed it's gone soon & I can breathe again... or at least better since it is high pollen time.  I took Nash for a little walk, & attempted to go for another walk myself later, but breathing was rough so mostly I watched a lot of Gossip Girl.  I'm finally on the last season.  I'm really just not as in to this season.  I feel like it has taken a severe sharp left turn.  Also, I already know how it ends & based on where certain characters are now, & where they have been, I really don't know how I feel about the ending.

Monday Morning Coffee Vol. 8

Happy Monday!  This is a short week for me.  I took Thursday off because it's Nash's birthday.  I may not have taken my own birthday off but I sure as heck took his off.  #DogMomAF  I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend!

**Last week I mentioned that my car had broken down on me when I tried to go get coffee.  Luckily the fix was fast, cheap, & easy.  I got a text on Monday just before noon saying my car was ready & the problem was going to cost me under $100.**

**On Tuesday the softball girls lost 5-15, which while not good, is better than the last time we played the same team.  The previous time the game was 0-20 so they big time closed the gap.  On Friday they also lost, with the exact same final score as when they had played the same team before.  The girls are now 2-8 in district**

**Wednesday was an early release day which I have a love/hate relationship with.  It's nice being done with classes at 2, but nothing gets done because kids are in class for 30 minutes.  Also, they always feel like Fridays to me.  Even with Wednesday feeling like a Friday last week flew by for me.  But despite the first week of April flying by, the month overall still seems to be moving at a snail's pace.**

**Friday was the unofficial senior skip day because it was prom.  That means in my 5th & 6th periods I had a total of 11 students.  I had to leave early for a softball game during my 6th period & when I told them they had the option of either going next door & watching the movie with another class or staying in my room, they all looked up from their phones, silently looked at me, & then looked right back at their phones.**

**My friend Ryan is in town for training so we got to meet up for supper a few times.  Raising Cane's twice, because Canes sauce, & then I finally got him to try gas station tacos.**

**My friend Katherine from grad school came to visit over the weekend from the panhandle & she brought her dog Annie.  She & Nash loved playing with each other.  However, the first night they stayed was an adjustment because there is never anyone else that stays here, especially not another dog.  Nash didn't know what to think or how to act.  Bedtime was definitely stressful.**

**While they were here we went to a MN Wild vs Dallas Stars game.  That was actually the main focus/purpose for the trip.  The first 2 periods nothing happened.  I didn't go in expecting for MN to win since we were in last place for our division & Dallas got the wild card spot for the playoffs, but after 2 periods of nothing I thought...

...but no.  Everything happened in the final period & Minnesota lost 0-3.  It was still a fun time though & while looking for parking online I had managed to find someone selling their parking pass for the garage that is right across the street.  I now feel spoiled & don't want to do events there any other way.  Cross your fingers that I can find one for this coming weekend!

**We also found a gigantic field of bluebonnets where it was actually safe to take pictures, AKA not just pulling off on the freeway or running across an access road to take pictures in a ditch.  After 7 years of living in Texas, I FINALLY have a picture in bluebonnets.  If they're still there in a few weeks I'm taking my Minnesota friends.  My picture is just a selfie because I was mostly concerned with not letting Nash get away & taking his picture while Katherine was off having the same dilemma with Annie lol.  #priorities**

Have a great week!

Monday Morning Coffee Vol. 7

Happy Monday & happy April everyone!  As I mentioned on Friday, I am glad that March is over & April is here!  There is so much good coming this month & I'm just feeling happier in general.  So what do you say we kick this week, & this month, off with a little Monday Morning Coffee!  Linking up with Biana.

**Last week started off so slow.  I remember on Wednesday thinking, "how is it only Wednesday?!"  But then Thursday & Friday were over in the blink of an eye.**

**I applied to a couple more teaching jobs down in the Houston area last week as well as emailed the head of HR in the district that I really want to work in.  He was in charge of secondary ed HR for the district I student taught in/first worked in while I was there so I'm hoping that he at least as some insight to help me in getting an interview/job in the new district**

**The varsity softball girls won their 2nd district game on Friday.  They went 1-6 the first round of district & are now currently 2-6.  Depending on how they, and the other 2 teams that we were tied for last with, do this 2nd round we could potentially make it to district.  Friday was also an early night because 2 of the teams we play don't have lights at their field so we started earlier & then were done by 7:30 because no lights.**

**I truly love my new car, well the car I now bought a year ago, but I don't know that I'll ever buy a Ford Fusion again.  I previously had a 2012 Fusion & I had a lot of problems with it initially but then it got better.  I never loved that car, but it worked.  Last February I got a 2016 Fusion.  I do love that car.  However about a month ago I had to get the bearings replaced & now I have a whole new issue.  I went to get coffee yesterday late afternoon & was also hoping to get some work done at a coffee shop just so I could get out of the house.  However, while trying to reverse in the parking lot to find a different spot, my car stopped shifting.  First I noticed that my backup camera wasn't showing anything so I put it in park in hopes of then putting it back in reverse & having the camera work.  Except I couldn't shift out of park & yet when I took my foot off the brake it would still roll.  Praying it's a simple fix, thinking it's something electronic as my bluetooth stopped working as well...which is probably not so simple...**

**I'm pretty sure Nash knew we should just stay home & in bed all day from the beginning on Sunday...**

**The weather this weekend was cold.  Like it had been in the 70s & sunny and then the weekend was like, "nah, here is some 40s/50s with little to no sun instead!"  That kind of weather though is perfect for comfort food which I had been craving anyway.  I met up with Helen & Caleb for supper at Mike's Chicken on Saturday and then we just got coffee and walked around Half Priced Books.**

Monday Morning Coffee Vol. 6

Happy Monday!  I can't believe it's the last Monday of March!  Last week flew by quickly & I'm hoping this one does too!  I am 100% over this school year & am 110% ready for summer vacation!  65 days from today it'll be the last day of school!  Only 45 of those are school days & I'm only there for 41.5 of them.  Linking up with Biana!

I'm drinking the last of my French Vanilla coffee with my new chocolate caramel creamer out of my "All you need is love...and a dog" mug while listening to some Parker McCollum & trying not to waste too much time this morning since I have to leave early for work to cover someone else's class.  So grab a cup & let's catch up!

**The girls lost both of their games last week.  We're currently 1-5.  Our last game of round 1 is on Tuesday so if they want any chance of making it to playoffs, round 2 is going to have to go a whole lot better.  If they don't make it, the season ends April 18th for us.**

**The weekend following pay day usually means new nails.  I was inspired by Jess to go purple.  It wasn't quite the purple I had originally intended, but I'm still digging the light purple & yellow for spring/Easter as well as my school's colors.**

**Meal prep this week included cutting up strawberries & celery for snacks, garlic lime shrimp for lettuce wraps, turkey taco meat for lettuce wraps, & jalapeno ranch dip to go on the lettuce wraps.  I also bought apples, bananas, & uncrustables for softball games.**

**Nash & I spent the weekend just the 2 of us.  I was supposed to have a date turned non-date Saturday night but since we hadn't spoken of the date in a week & a half, & I was more content hanging out at home with Nash than going out dancing all night, I didn't bring it up that day either.**

**I've noticed that when I binge watch too much Gossip Girl, I have dreams about it.  I have never had that with any other show.  But if I watch too much, then that night I'll either have dreams that involve the actual people from Gossip Girl, or where I'm in Gossip Girl type situations**

Monday Morning Coffee Vol. 5

Hello everyone!  Despite having ideas for what I wanted to write about, I unintentionally didn't post on Thursday (where I was going to write about recipes for St. Patrick's Day) or Friday (where I planned on giving you 5 reasons why I quit...that'll probably be a post in the future.)  But my parents arrived Thursday & well I was on spring break so #sorrynotsorry

Sadly spring break is now over for me which means back to work.  There are no more official days off until Easter weekend but I am contemplating taking Nash's birthday off because #DogMomAF  Either way I'm back at for another 3.5-5 weeks so let's kick it off with a little Monday Morning Coffee!  Linking up with Biana

This morning I'm drinking out of this adorable mug I got from a blogger swap.

Since I just had 9 days off for spring break, how about we catch up on what I did with all of my free time!  *Hint: I was reminded why I'm not meant for the typical 9-5 & just want to hang out w/Nash*

**I did in fact spend A LOT of time with Nash.  Our first day of break was a nice one so we went for a walk, played at the dog park, AND got some ice cream.  The next few days though were pretty much just chill at home days, mostly due to a shit ton of rain**

**Nash got to have a play date on Wednesday after the rain stopped.  A few weeks ago I made a deal with the girl who walks Nash.  We had been going through an app but decided to cut out the middle man.  So now she walks him for cash which saves me money & gets her more money.  So on Wednesday we met up so Nash could play with her dogs & I could actually meet her.  Turns out she's from the Midwest too!**

**Since I had to miss my friends' baby shower the weekend before, the 3 of us & another friend met up for some pizza from Greenville Ave Pizza Co & to just hang out for a bit**

**I started watching Gossip Girl.  I never watched it while it was on, & had tried to watch it once before but only got about 20 minutes into the first episode before giving up.  This time, mostly because I had a lot of free time on my hands & didn't know what else I wanted to start, I powered through.  Of course now I'm into it.  I'm only a little over halfway through season 2 though & since I'm back at work now, & there are 6 seasons (that each have about 25 40 minute episodes), I could be watching this for quite awhile...**

**My parents arrived Thursday evening & we went out for mediocre Mexican food.  We should have just gone for gas station tacos because those never disappoint.  However, it had been a couple of years since I had gone, but we went to the same Mexican restaurant we had gone to when I first moved to my place & it had been really good then.  Apparently the food & service just went downhill...  Noted.**

**Both Thursday & Friday morning I had softball practice, so while I was at practice Friday morning my parents went out to Gilbert Pecan Co, a place we had gone to last year.  Once we were all back, we went to lunch & the Texas Civil War Museum.   When we were done at the museum we came back for Nash so we could go for a hike**

(My dad is literally Nash's favorite human...)

We of course ate all the food.  We got BBQ Saturday night at a place that none of us had ever been to before.  It was a little hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere.  It was ok.  I've had worse & I've had far better.  It was nothing to write home about, other than the fact that I am 99% sure that the potato salad gave me a small case of food poisoning that night...  The crawfish from Hoochies, the burger from Twisted Root, & as always the steak salad from Star Cafe were all delicious**

On Saturday we went to the Stockyards for Cowtown Goes Green.  We watched the cattle drive, watched some armadillo races, & just wandered around in & out of stores.  We also went back out to Gilbert Pecan Co & it was out in a town near there where we got the BBQ.

**My parents left Sunday a little before noon to head back to Minnesota.  Nash & I laid around for a long time after that doing absolutely nothing but watch Gossip Girl.  I thought about having groceries delivered, or just doing pick up, but by the time I got my butt in gear Walmart had no more pick up for the day, I'd have to wait until like 8-9 pm for Kroger, & the delivery fee/tip was about 1/3 of  what I was actually going to be spending on groceries so I decided to just go myself.**

**Since it was nice out, when I got back from the store Nash & I went to Starbucks & then to the dog park.  He had fun for awhile until another dog started to bully him.  Of course that dog's owner didn't give a shit.  I wanted to punt the little Yorkie over the fence.  After that Nash pretty much stayed by my side so I decided we might as well just leave.  Even though I had gone to the store, I did 0 meal prep when we got back.  It was just more Gossip Girl until bed**

Monday Morning Coffee Vol. 4

Happy Monday everyone!  I'm on spring break so it's one of the happiest Mondays for me!  The next Monday I'm truly looking forward to is the first one of summer vacation!  I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend & that your Monday is great as well!

This morning I'm drinking my French Vanilla coffee with Maple Latte creamer out of my "For The Wild At Heart" mug I got from Miranda Lambert's store The Pink Pistol while I listen to my Discover Weekly playlist & link up with Biana!

**This is my last week with putting creamer in my coffee.  I can drink my coffee black, & actually prefer it sometimes.  I really only put creamer in my coffee because I love trying out the different flavors.  However, starting next Monday I'm going to attempt to do Whole30 again.**

**On Friday the softball girls won their first district game of the season!  14-4.  That's actually the first district game they've won since 2014...**

**I was supposed to go to Houston for Helen's baby shower yesterday & then last minute I couldn't make it & I was so sad.  I miss Houston, I was looking forward to seeing Houston people, & Helen is one of my favorite people.  However, the night before my blood pressure randomly decided to go up again & I still planned on going in the morning but then I took it that morning just to double check it & it was still up, although down from the night before, & it just didn't seem wise to spend 7-8 hours in the car driving by myself with my blood pressure up & down.**

**Saturday Nash & I took full advantage of the nice weather, which has since disappeared.  On Saturday we went to the dog park, got ice cream, & went for a walk on top of my run to Target & the grocery store.**

**I have no idea why it spiked.  So I'm back to taking my meds again for a week & taking my BP to see if it regulates again.  It had been so normal for so long that the doctor even told me I could stop taking them like a month & a half ago**

**On Friday we had a staff vs seniors dodgeball game.  We won.**

**Last week I had some vague news, well today I can share with you what it was.  I officially quit being a beachbody coach.  I'm still working out but between teaching & coaching softball I had very little time to try to actually work another business & still have time for things that I enjoyed doing.**
