Things You Weren't Wondering Vol. 9

1. Where would you spend all of your time if you could?
On the road.  I would be trying all the bars/restaurants & taking all the pictures in all the places.

2. What is special about the place you grew up?
I mean it's where I grew up.  It's home.  From an outside perspective it's nothing but a drive through town.  It's in the middle of nowhere, 30 minutes from a Walmart, with not a whole lot going on.  We didn't even get a McDonalds until I was in college.  People from the cities drive through there in the summer on their way up north to their cabins & to go camping.  We do have the Vasaloppet which is a ski race where people come from all around the world to participate in.  But unless you're big into cross country skiing I'm sure you've never heard of it, & even if you are there's a chance you haven't.  We're the sister city to Mora, Sweden and have the world's second largest Dala horse.  That's about it as far as claims to fame go.  But it's special because it's where I'm from.  It's a big part of who I am & I am the way I am.

3. What age do you want to live to?
I don't know.  100 seems so cliche.  I don't have a set age.  I want to live as long as possible while still being mentally & physically able.  I don't want to live to 100 if it means I have no memory & can't do anything for myself.

4. What are you most likely to become famous for?
Nothing.  The closest I would have ever come to "fame" would have been when I was wanting to do social media/PR/marketing for a professional sports team.  Even that wouldn't have made me famous I would have just been working for/with famous people.

5. What are you absolutely determined to do?
Leave the country again.  I haven't left the country since I was 17 years old.  I WILL see more of the world.

6. What is the most impressive thing you know how to do?
I was in figure skating for like 9 or 10 years.  Is that impressive??

7. What do you wish you knew more about?
So much!  I know a little bit about a lot of things.  I wish there was one or two things that I knew A LOT about.  Specifically what, I don't know.  I wish I knew more than I do about foreign affairs/policy.  I guess I also wish I knew more about marketing.

8. What question would you most like to know the answer to?
Will I get married & have kids.

9. What question can you ask to find out the most about a person?
When I start talking to a new guy one of the first questions I ask is how they feel about rain & thunderstorms.  I feel like their answer to that question says a lot about them.

10. When was the last time you changed your opinion/belief about something major?
I couldn't tell you exactly when it happened but my political views have definitely shifted.  I specifically remember being about 17, talking to a friend at our county fair parade, & saying "I WILL NEVER VOTE REPUBLICAN!"  Okay I didn't yell it.  But I definitely made the claim that I would always and forever vote Democrat & Democrat only.  However, as I've gotten older my political views have shifted.  Now at 29, instead of hard core left I'm more middle of the road while leaning right.  Since 18 I've voted Democrat, Republican, Libertarian.

  1. My grandad died at 100 and was in good health to the end. If I could do that then I'll take it. I like the question you ask guys.

  6. I tried to get an internship doing PR for the Flyers when I was in grad school, haha. Obviously, they didn't pick me. And political beliefs are so weird. I was much more conservative when I was younger and somehow have become liberal since I was 18, haha.

  7. I find your figure skating impressive. I mean, I grew up in Texas. That's not really a thing here. ;)
