Here Comes The...Maid of Honor

I need help.  Lots & lots of it.  I still have time... 14 months... but I am the maid of honor in a wedding next September.  We are allowed to pick our own dress.  The only stipulations?  It has to be yellow (any shade), knee length (but doesn't have to be bridal), & I'll be wearing boots.  Oh yeah...and there are 4 other girls so not a single one of us is going to match.  There could potentially be 5 different shades & 5 different styles.  I'm all for laid back brides but the number of possibilities is also stressing me out.  So, I'm fully aware that I have time & no decisions need to be made this very moment.  I also don't want to wait until it's just a few months away & not find something that fits her requirements & that I also like.

After that long winded explanation...here are some that I have been looking at.  What are your opinions?  Also, if any of you know of any other ones somewhere please share!

The last 2 have pockets which pretty much gives them an edge in my opinion but I want to know what y'all think!

  1. You've come to the right person for help. I've been a bridesmaid 13 times. I am an experienced gal. I've been in a wedding with four bridesmaids who all had different dresses and picked our own. So, I got this. Don't wear strapless. You are going to be in this dress for hours. You may be dancing. You don't want any chance of feeling uncomfortable. The last one is the WINNER for me. Great, different, interesting neckline. The pockets! Flattering. Big winner for me. My second choice would be the Dillard's one. But, my first choice is so strong that I'm still going to mention that it is perfect :)

  2. I love the last one!! Love a dress with pockets. I would say no to strapless because they are pia. They always shift and there is nothing worse than watching a bridesmaid pull up her dress all night long. Best of luck! At least you can pick whatever you want.
My friend is in a wedding and the dress she had to get was so $$$ and you will never wear it again.

  3. love the last one (pockets!) and the second one is absolutely gorgeous. i agree with Erin about strapless, but because i don't think strapless will go as well with boots as the others.

  4. Yea, I always thought as a bridesmaid (MULTIPLE times) that I would love to pick my own dress. It's too stressful--I prefer them telling me what to get and just ordering it. Ok, I like 2 and 3 the best. I think they'll look the best with boots and any girl who has bridesmaids in boots will be having a fun wedding, for which I think those dresses work better than the more satin-y bridesmaid looking ones. Plus, you really could wear 2 or 3 again (and I'm not just saying that because you are supposed to).

  5. I like #1 and #4, personally, but then, what do I know?

  6. My best friend let us choose too and it stressed me out. The second one is my favorite, and would look cute with boots. I like #4 too.

  7. 3, 4, 6 are my faves... but the one with pockets would obviously win. Now that we've picked out your MOH dress, can we pick out mine? lol It needs to be floor length, in ruby or emerald. FML. Also, the wedding is January 1st... in the mtns of NC. My sister is also praying for snow. So I'm thinking pretty much a nun's habit so that way I also have sleeves and a head covering.

  8. 3 and 4 are my faves. The 1st two just seem too tea party to me. Pretty dresses but too work appropriate IMO. I like the blog re-do!
