Tying The Knottski

This weekend was a complete whirlwind.  I took today off so that I could recover.  I do have to go coach a softball game tonight but no work before then.

I took Friday off, hung out with Nash in the morning, dropped him off at Posh Paw Resort at 9, & then headed to the airport.  Before Nash I flew a decent amount, at least 3 times a year.  However, since getting him I have flown once and it was right after I got him.  Because he had a 9 am drop off time and I had a noon boarding time, I decided to take advantage of this & got a bloody mary and some nachos at Pappasito's at the airport.

Once I landed in Minnesota is when the real whirlwind began.  My parents picked me up from the airport, left me one of their vehicles, & I drove up to Two Harbors to meet my friends at the Grand Superior Lodge.  We spent the night drinking, hanging out, & enjoying the hot tub before calling it a night so we could be ready for the big day to follow.

Saturday was Melissa & Sara's big day.  Rather than give you the minute by minute run down, I'll let the pictures at the end do the talking.

I woke up at 5 am on Sunday, got dressed, drove 2 hours to my parents' house, had them drive me the remaining hour to the airport, and then headed back to Dallas-Fort Worth.  I picked up Mr. Nash from the resort and then we spent the entire day recovering by laying around, watching Netflix, and ordering Lazy Dog through Door Dash.

It's A Good Night For Dancin

In just over a month & a half my friend Kristie will be getting married. This past weekend I attended a wedding reception of sorts for my cousin Andy.  They got married months ago but since they live in Florida & just had a really small wedding, it was a way for all of us in Minnesota to meet his new wife & celebrate.  I had nothing really planned for today, & last week I wrote about different types of bachelorette parties/what I might want, so I thought it would be fun to post about what I'd like my wedding to be like.  I've always been the type of girl to plan her wedding.  I've had an account on knot.com since I was 12 or 13. I used to have a massive pinterest board with 100s & 100s of pins.  One day though I up & decided to delete all boards baby, wedding, & home related because none of those were in my immediate future.  I did randomly start a board again probably around the time of Mr. Oklahoma, however there isn't a ton on there, at least not compared to my old board.  If you want to see the whole board you can click here.

-Navy, sunflower yellow, brown (or gray??)

-A little bit of I do, a whole lot of fun

Bachelorette Parties

This past weekend I was at my friend's bachelorette party & it got me thinking, what would I want my bachelorette party to be like?  I've been to parties with varying extravagance, costs, & activities.

When I attended my friend Melissa's bachelorette party 6 years ago, we all stayed in a hotel in the cities one night, went out for dinner, & bar hopped.

When I attended my ex-boyfriend's sister's bachelorette party 6 years ago, there was a pure romance party, party bus, & bar hopping.

When I randomly attended a girl I graduated with's bachelorette party 5 years ago, we drank at a bar in our hometown.

When I attended my cousin Elizabeth's bachelorette party 4 years ago, we went to a piano bar.

When I attended my friend Heather's bachelorette party 3 years ago, we went camping for a weekend.


When I attended my friend Meg's bachelorette party 2 years ago, we went to dinner, bar hopping, & a strip club.


When I attended my friend Kristie's bachelorette party this past weekend, we stayed at a resort for a weekend, did a wine tasting one night, went out to dinner/bar hopping the next.

So what would I want? I'm not sure EXACTLY what I want.

What I don't want:
I don't want a party bus.
I don't want strippers or a strip club.
I don't want anything fancy.
I don't want to have to stay up late/drink a lot for more than one day.

Here Comes The...Maid of Honor

I need help.  Lots & lots of it.  I still have time... 14 months... but I am the maid of honor in a wedding next September.  We are allowed to pick our own dress.  The only stipulations?  It has to be yellow (any shade), knee length (but doesn't have to be bridal), & I'll be wearing boots.  Oh yeah...and there are 4 other girls so not a single one of us is going to match.  There could potentially be 5 different shades & 5 different styles.  I'm all for laid back brides but the number of possibilities is also stressing me out.  So, I'm fully aware that I have time & no decisions need to be made this very moment.  I also don't want to wait until it's just a few months away & not find something that fits her requirements & that I also like.

After that long winded explanation...here are some that I have been looking at.  What are your opinions?  Also, if any of you know of any other ones somewhere please share!
