The topic for November was organization. I had only one goal & that was to clean out/organize my closet. I didn't really organize it but I did get one bag full of clothes to get rid of & could probably fill a second. After I had a the first one closed up I realized the dress that made me decide I should start getting rid of clothes in the first place was still hanging up in the closet.
Tiffany over at Figuring Out The Plot posted something the other day about Project 333. It sounded like a really cool concept, especially if you're trying to work on cleaning out your closet. The basic concept is that you can only wear 33 pieces of clothing for 3 months with a few exceptions. You should definitely check out her post to learn more about it, & just because her blog is awesome.
The theme for December is "Simplify"
My goals for that will be:
1. Finish getting rid of all pins & boards on Pinterest I don't really need. If I can't actually do something with it...it's gone.
2. When I'm out with friends/family when I'm back in MN stay off the cell phone (obviously snapchat & pictures are allowed)
3. Unsubscribe from all of the junk e-mail I get.
4. Start setting aside stuff at my house that I don't really need for the last 5.5 months I'm there & either toss it, sell it, or pack it up.

Good job on the closet clean out! I'm always purging, feels good.
ReplyDeleteGreat goals for December - less time on the phone and unsubscribing is on my list too!
i did the same with my closet, cleaned it out but didn't really 'organise'. i still need to do some more though, i have dresses that i will absolutely never ever ever wear again.. but they hold such sentimental value (plus they cost a bucketload) and hurt to throw out.
ReplyDeletei clean my pinterest boards regularly, its kinda fun lol.
that is such a good idea about staying off the cell phone when you are WITH people - adding that to my list.
Why don't you just delete pins?! I did that with a shit ton of mine. Feels so gooood!
ReplyDeleteI need to clean up my Pinterest too. Yeah on the closet clean out. I always feel better after doing that so I can finally see what I really have. Unsubscribing from emails is a good idea!
ReplyDeleteOrganizing closets is harder than you'd think! I was trying to purge stuff from mine and after looking at every single thing, I was only willing to get rid of a couple items. Definitely checking out the link, though. Hopefully it helps!
ReplyDeleteI started unsubscribing from junk emails on Black Friday and man, it felt amazing! Ha!
ReplyDeleteOooh.... I want to go home and count clothes now!! And the land of lost Pinterest boards is probably worth visiting, too. Good ideas!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have some great things in works for this month! I was just thinking about how I really need to unsubscribe from so many emails-- mainly stores that send out non-stop coupons and sale alerts!
ReplyDeleteI need to organize my closet! Good job on getting started on that!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the cleanout, I love cleaning out my wardrobe....I usually find things that I had completely forgotten about.
ReplyDeleteTry unroll.me for all the junk e-mail, it just takes 2 minutes. Pretty genius.
ReplyDeleteI love the whole Project 333 concept. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I should. I have a very minimalist closet, I'm sure I don't go over 33 in a single month. But with the Chicago weather, I might in 3 months. It might be really cool to see how I could do! Are you going to try it?
I need to simplify and organize, and I think i should start with my inbox! So sick of all the junk mail!
