First of all, this is not sponsored. However, if any meal subscription boxes want to sponsor me I'm all about that life! Hit a girl up with some food!
Back in March I tried Hello Fresh. If you use that link you'll receive $40 off your first order & I'll receive $30 off my next order.

However this post is about Home Chef & not Hello Fresh. If you click the Home Chef link we will each get $30 off the order.
Because I live alone, & had never tried Home Chef before I went with the 3 meals for 2 people, AKA 6 meals for me. Each week you get 18 options to choose from which is really nice!

For my 3 meals I chose:
-Pork Chops w/Pine Nut & Parmesan Butter with Garlic Swiss Chard
-Barbacoa Steak Tacos with Queso Fresco and Pickled Vegetables
-One Sheet Pretzel Crusted Chicken with Roasted Broccoli and Honey Mustard
I honestly haven't tried the chicken yet, it will be my supper tonight, but it smelled amazing. The pork chop was delicious! I wasn't a huge fan of the tacos mostly because of the seasoning on the meat. The rest of it was good but the seasoning wasn't my favorite.
Would I order again? If I got a sweet deal. But that would be true even if I was over the moon about all of them. For me it's not cost effective to do on a regular basis. Without a discount this is about $60 for 6 meals. I spend maybe $60 on groceries for the week for 5-7 days of breakfast, lunch, & supper so $4/meal or less instead of $10.

Looks delicious - just seems like so much work when I live alone. So much easier to whip up fish in my air fryer - LOL!!!

the pretzel chicken sounds good! i don't like these kind of subscription boxes because KC and i have such different tastes and we both eat really large portions so they just don't work for us. but i love seeing what other people get and cook, good way to find new dinner ideas lol
ReplyDeleteThe chicken sounds amazingggg. I'm all in for pretzel-crusted anything though hahaha.
