The First One Without Volleyball

Happy Monday everyone!  I am praying that this week flies by!  This is my last week at work before Thanksgiving break starts, and tomorrow I'm not even actually in the classroom!  I hope that everyone had a terrific Veterans Day weekend.  Linking up with Biana!

Friday
Last week was such a long week & was both physically & emotionally exhausting that by Friday night I was a mess.  If you follow me on Twitter there's a chance you already know this.  I was playing with Nash when he accidentally bit down on my finger instead of his toy.  Yes it hurt but it's not like I was bleeding or anything.  However, I was so exhausted that I just started bawling.  He looked at me like I had lost my damn mind.  There's a chance I had.  Needless to say nothing was done that night.  We laid on the couch & watched more of Parenthood and by 8:30-9 I was in bed.

Saturday
Saturday was about as perfect as it can get for a low key weekend.  My day started out at 5, ok maybe 6 or 7 would have made it a little more perfect, I took care of Nash, ate some breakfast, drank some coffee, & lounged around on the couch with Nash watching Parenthood.

At 3 I had an hour massage followed by a body polish.  Holy goodness it was amazing.  If I'm ever rich, all the massages all the time!

Stitch Fix also came through again & waived my styling fee so I'll be getting another box in late December.

That evening I was supposed to have a date.  I did not have a date & that is a-okay with me.  On Thursday he text me saying he felt like he was starting to come down with something.  On Friday I text him to see how he was feeling & he said he had taken a half day in hopes of feeling better by Saturday.  I suggested we just try again another time.  I'm not going to lie, I did this for selfish reasons.  Not long after the date was set up Helen invited me to another "fancy dinner" at their place.  I wanted to go to that.  So he agreed that it was the best option to try to reschedule.  We haven't talked since & I got to go have a low key dinner with my friends.  #winning

Sunday
Sunday started out rough.  We woke up at 5 like always, I got Nash his breakfast & some fresh water, & then started getting my boots on to take him outside.  However unlike normal homeboy decided to just piss right on my carpet because he didn't want to wait for me to get my shoes on.  Of course the only bottle of carpet cleaner I had had started leaking the week before so I had thrown it out & hadn't replaced it.  So I sequestered him to the kitchen & left to go get some.  I drove to the grocery store.  Closed.  I drove across town to Walmart which was a task way more difficult that it should have been, missed it, & then said screw it because I didn't want to have to whip two u-turns to get there.  So then I drove back across town to the grocery store & got there just as they were opening.  Nash decided to be a brat most of the morning & off and on throughout the day.  Of course when he wasn't being a brat he was trying to be extra cute & cuddly.

Essentially I did nothing.  We watched some football, GO VIKINGS!, and a lot of Parenthood.  I went back to the grocery store to actually buy food for the week.  I thought that I'd get out of there way cheaper than normal because I'm mostly cleaning out my pantry before I leave next week.  However I then magically ran out of trash bags, dish soap, dog food, & contact solution all at once.  So much for cheaper than normal.  My original plan was to make tater tot hotdish.  However, I had a box of mashed potatoes so I decided that instead of buying tater tots I'd pushed mashed potatoes on top like Shepherd's pie.  Turns out I only had a cup left...  luckily I also had 2 cups of rice left because then plan C had to fall into action.  Now I have nothing pretty/fancy/special.  It's just ground beef with vegetables.  Some with mashed potatoes & some with rice.

Needless to say I'm ready for this week to end & it's only beginning.  On the bright side I get to wear jeans everyday this week!

  5. A massage sounds so nice! I might book a foot one tomorrow. Sometimes I'd much rather hang out with my friends than go on a date.

  6. I read that as 3 hour massage and I was jelly. Then I realized I was an idiot. Also, dogs are assholes. Finally, we get a week for Thanksgiving and IT CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH. I'm ready to peace the fuck out on this semester.
