April Confessions

**I don't mind if people use my classroom outside of school, but when people use my classroom & don't return it to how it was it makes me want to flip all the desks.  I don't want to have to spend my time in the morning putting all my desks back to how I had them & fixing my computer screen settings because someone else decided they didn't like how I had MY classroom.  Especially when I wasn't told anyone would even be using my classroom**

**Similarly, if someone invented a way to lock desks down in place so that students could not move them unless the teacher unlocked them I'd love them forever**

**I decided to take a semi-break from grad school.  Instead of doing any face to face classes this summer & fall I'm only doing online & may wind up taking a real break after that**

**If I had known that all of my classes were going to be research/case study based & not actually relate to the field I'm studying I probably wouldn't have started grad school in the first place**

**Dating is the worst**

**When my students try to blame me getting annoyed at them on anything or anyone but themselves, I get even more annoyed.  No, it is your fault...if you would do what you're supposed to when I ask then we would all have a great time**

**I like keeping my nails relatively short but I have been so stressed out lately that I haven't been keeping them painted & have them bitten so short they almost hurt & I have hangnails like crazy**

**My downstairs neighbor is the worst.  She's so loud & bitches all the time.  It was slightly amusing one day when it was during the middle of the day & she was on the phone talking about some guy's love of bologna & claiming that's why she thought he was diabetic & then ranting about corn tortillas.  However, when she woke me up around 4:30 in the morning on Monday because she was yelling "she's a liar" & "fuck you" super loud I wanted to strangle her**

**I'm a runner.  Not the healthy, let's be fit & exercise type.  Think more runaway bride type.  Except in that when things don't work out like I planned/hoped, I will eventually get the urge to just leave & start over elsewhere.  Of course there were other factors involved but it was the push that got me to leave Minnesota & the same with leaving Houston.  I'd be lying if I didn't think sometimes that I wanted to do it again**

  3. Yes neighbors can be tough and sometimes they can be great too, it's just hard to know. So if I don't keep artificial nails on my fingernails, I bite my cuticles so bad they can become raw and bleeding, it's terrible! I sure you hope you have a super day and nobody screws up your nice and neat classroom!

    1. I've really lucked out. I've had really awesome neighbors the entire time I've lived in Texas until now. Guess it was my turn... I need to do something to my nails. I might have to put on artificial for awhile. Have a great day!

  4. These gifs are awesome haha! How frustrating that people used your room and didn't return it how they found it!

    1. Lol thank you. Luckily it's only happened once or twice so far here. It used to happen more other places I've worked.

  5. Haha, your neighbor sounds entertaining but I would be pissed if she woke me up too!

  6. I have this neighbor who's parking spot pulls right up to face our front door/bedroom window and I swear he does not sleep, ever. Instead he has full on concerts from his car (where he has installed giant speakers into the back of) and blasts the music at any and all hours of the night. Having close by neighbors is so tough!

  7. Ugh I DO NOT like having neighbors sometimes, haha! Ours have sent a "noise complaint" twice and both times were like middle of the day or before 8PM! I can't handle it. Just makes us even more excited to get a house where we're not connected to others walls!! ;)

  8. Could you report the neighbor to the landlord, without it being obvious that it was you?

  9. 4:30AM?! WTF? I'd complain to the landlord, especially if it happens again. I've been fairly lucky with neighbors. My only real annoyance is my upstairs neighbor who stomps around like a damn elephant and I can literally hear every step she takes, but that's also due to the hardwood floors. Luckily she doesn't often do so in heels! What grad degree are you going for? I took a break after about 3 classes. Going back to school after you've been out for awhile is hard!

    1. I'm going for communications. Goal is PR, community outreach, or social media. Ultimate goal is in sports.

  12. UGH, I hate annoying neighbors. I'm glad you're so in tune with what you need and are willing to take a break from grad school when you feel overwhelmed.
