Blame It On My Wild Heart

And just like that here we are, a full week into the month of November.  Remember when I said October was going to be my month?  Well that didn't happen.  Based on the plans I already have for November though, I'm thinking this is really going to be a good month.  I hope that y'all had a fantastic weekend.

Friday
Friday I worked a half day & it was the easiest half day ever.  I subbed the second half of the day & the first class was a leadership class so there was a whopping 2 kids in it, & it was also the lunch period, and then the 2nd class was a communications class but the teacher had had printer issues so the kids played board games the entire time.  I finally finished reading The Oath nearly 2 months after starting it.  When I got home I put 2 more books on hold a the library.  Hopefully it won't take me as long to get through those.  I really like The Oath & whenever I would read it I'd get sucked into it but I had so many other random things going on I couldn't always pick it up.  That night I did nothing but watch TV.  I watched the most recent episodes of NCIS: LA, Chicago Fire, & Hawaii Five-0 as well as binged some more Gilmore Girls.

Saturday
My plan for Saturday was to head up to Denton to go to the Market & then attempt to make a candle in a rum bottle and get some stuff done around the house like laundry and what not.  That is not at all what happened & it turned out to be one of the best days I've had in a really long time.  I was on I-35 heading north towards Denton when I got a wild hair & just kept driving.  I kept right on driving until I crossed the Texas/Oklahoma border.  Then I kept driving a little more until I decided that I needed to pick somewhere to stop or I might just keep driving.  I stopped in Ardmore, Oklahoma & ate lunch at Two Frogs Grill.  I was driving & typed in restaurants in Ardmore & it was the first one that came up.  Such a good choice.  I ordered the Cajun Catfish with mashed potatoes & gravy and fried okra.  I also got a bacon bloody mary.  The catfish was THE BEST catfish I've ever had.  It was perfectly seasoned & melted in my mouth.  Before I got to Oklahoma I also figured that I'd maybe stop for lunch & then just turn around & go home.  Also not what happened.  I passed a field of horses on my drive & thought "I want to go horseback riding!"  So I googled a place to do so & that is exactly what I did after lunch getting lost on some back roads.  After that I did finally decide to head back home.  I got back around 6:30 and was exhausted.  I laid in bed watching more Gilmore Girls for awhile until I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore.

Sunday
Sunday morning I went to church.  I should add in that I don't go to church.  I just don't.  It's not that I don't believe in God or that I'm not religious, I just have my own reasons.  I do believe in God & I pray everyday actually, I just don't go to church.  Well I had been thinking about it for a couple of days & decided that I wanted to go.  It was about 15 min before I had to leave & I almost decided that I wasn't going to go.  However, I went.  Something told me to go.  There's a chance that I may have gotten teary eyed while there.  The message that day was exactly what I needed for what has been going on in my life.  I've already decided I'll be going again next week.  Not to the same church though.  There is another one that I want to try out, & almost did, but ultimately decided to go to the one that I had been to before.  After church I ran to Walmart & then sat at home doing absolutely nothing.  I watched a Say Yes To The Dress marathon.  Then, I watched a Fixer Upper marathon.  At some point I ordered a couple of pizzas from Dominos because coupon & food for the week.  I ended the night with The Walking Dead.  I'm so not in love with the show anymore...

  2. I'm so over The Walking Dead, it's just blah. I think I may just stop watching it. As much as I love Daryl Dixon, I don't think I can care anymore.

  3. I binged on the first few seasons of Gilmore Girls last week and then stopped remembering all the not so great tension filled episodes in the middle that I can't watch a second time.
It is interesting seeing where people draw the line for different shows saying enough I can't watch anymore.
