And just like that here we are, a full week into the month of November. Remember when I said October was going to be my month? Well that didn't happen. Based on the plans I already have for November though, I'm thinking this is really going to be a good month. I hope that y'all had a fantastic weekend.

Friday
Friday I worked a half day & it was the easiest half day ever. I subbed the second half of the day & the first class was a leadership class so there was a whopping 2 kids in it, & it was also the lunch period, and then the 2nd class was a communications class but the teacher had had printer issues so the kids played board games the entire time. I finally finished reading The Oath nearly 2 months after starting it. When I got home I put 2 more books on hold a the library. Hopefully it won't take me as long to get through those. I really like The Oath & whenever I would read it I'd get sucked into it but I had so many other random things going on I couldn't always pick it up. That night I did nothing but watch TV. I watched the most recent episodes of NCIS: LA, Chicago Fire, & Hawaii Five-0 as well as binged some more Gilmore Girls.
Saturday
My plan for Saturday was to head up to Denton to go to the Market & then attempt to make a candle in a rum bottle and get some stuff done around the house like laundry and what not. That is not at all what happened & it turned out to be one of the best days I've had in a really long time. I was on I-35 heading north towards Denton when I got a wild hair & just kept driving. I kept right on driving until I crossed the Texas/Oklahoma border. Then I kept driving a little more until I decided that I needed to pick somewhere to stop or I might just keep driving. I stopped in Ardmore, Oklahoma & ate lunch at Two Frogs Grill. I was driving & typed in restaurants in Ardmore & it was the first one that came up. Such a good choice. I ordered the Cajun Catfish with mashed potatoes & gravy and fried okra. I also got a bacon bloody mary. The catfish was THE BEST catfish I've ever had. It was perfectly seasoned & melted in my mouth. Before I got to Oklahoma I also figured that I'd maybe stop for lunch & then just turn around & go home. Also not what happened. I passed a field of horses on my drive & thought "I want to go horseback riding!" So I googled a place to do so & that is exactly what I did after lunch getting lost on some back roads. After that I did finally decide to head back home. I got back around 6:30 and was exhausted. I laid in bed watching more Gilmore Girls for awhile until I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore.
Sunday
Sunday morning I went to church. I should add in that I don't go to church. I just don't. It's not that I don't believe in God or that I'm not religious, I just have my own reasons. I do believe in God & I pray everyday actually, I just don't go to church. Well I had been thinking about it for a couple of days & decided that I wanted to go. It was about 15 min before I had to leave & I almost decided that I wasn't going to go. However, I went. Something told me to go. There's a chance that I may have gotten teary eyed while there. The message that day was exactly what I needed for what has been going on in my life. I've already decided I'll be going again next week. Not to the same church though. There is another one that I want to try out, & almost did, but ultimately decided to go to the one that I had been to before. After church I ran to Walmart & then sat at home doing absolutely nothing. I watched a Say Yes To The Dress marathon. Then, I watched a Fixer Upper marathon. At some point I ordered a couple of pizzas from Dominos because coupon & food for the week. I ended the night with The Walking Dead. I'm so not in love with the show anymore...
Sometimes it's nice to have a good old fashioned tv fest!! I watched GG this weekend as well! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI'm so over The Walking Dead, it's just blah. I think I may just stop watching it. As much as I love Daryl Dixon, I don't think I can care anymore.
ReplyDeleteI binged on the first few seasons of Gilmore Girls last week and then stopped remembering all the not so great tension filled episodes in the middle that I can't watch a second time.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting seeing where people draw the line for different shows saying enough I can't watch anymore.
Look how cute you are on that horse!! I love me some good catfish!!! Yum and yay for binge watching some good shows!! Weekend therapy!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I want more of that catfish right now...and to go horseback riding again.
DeleteI LOVE your random adventure in Oklahoma! Yay for horseback riding!
ReplyDeleteI love how you just went horseback-riding on a whim! Awesome.
