Winter Goals Check In

I created this list a month ago & never wrote it down in a notebook like I normally do so I've done a TERRIBLE job of keeping track of what I've actually done in the "winter."  Luckily most of these I can either check my planner of my 30 by 30 list for to have a pretty solid guess at.  This is why I write things down people.  If I don't, I forget.

1. Pay off at least one credit card
**I have one credit card that should be paid off by the end of February & another that could either be paid off by March/April or sooner depending what I choose to pay bill wise with my tax refund.

Winter Goals - How I Did

Last week I posted about what my goals for the spring are.  Today I'm here to give you a final recap on just how I did with my winter goals.  I started out so strong but then February was a blur.  Does anyone else feel like they blinked & February was over?  I mean I know it's a shorter month but still!

1. Donate Blood [#3 29 by 29/#42 101 in 1001]

2. Spend NYE with a Significant Other [#8 29 by 29/#13 101 in 1001]

3. Eat at 6 New Bars/Restaurants [#9 29 by 29/#21 101 in 1001]

4. Get My Own Place [#11 29 by 29]

5. Watch the Sunrise on New Year's Day [#14 29 by 29/#81 101 in 1001]

6. Send Christmas Cards [#15 29 by 29/#86 101 in 1001]

7. Read 6 Books [#18 29 by 29/#10 101 in 1001]

8. Do a 30 Day Fitness Challenge [#19 29 by 29/#15 101 in 1001]

9. Build a Snowman [#27 29 by 29/#84 101 in 1001]

10. Visit a Museum [#29 29 by 29/#31 101 in 1001]

The only change from the last recap to this final one is that I officially moved into my own place.  Other than that nothing else was accomplished.  I came close to finishing the book one.  I read almost 5 whole books.  I didn't have a SO on NYE but I did spend it with Helen & Caleb which is how I spent the previous NYE as well.  I didn't even attempt to start a 30 day fitness challenge & February went by so fast that I didn't even have time to think about going to a museum.

Maybe just maybe spring will be the one where I go 10/10.

What are some of your goals either for March or for spring?

Winter Goals Check In

This is my last shot to complete my winter goals.  Luckily, I've pretty much killed my goals this season.

1. Donate Blood [#3 29 by 29/#42 101 in 1001]

2. Spend NYE with a Significant Other [#8 29 by 29/#13 101 in 1001]
**Pretty sure I need to just change this goal to "Spend NYE with Helen & Caleb" because that's who I spent NYE 2015 & 2016 with**

3. Eat at 6 New Bars/Restaurants [#9 29 by 29/#21 101 in 1001]
**I'm well beyond this actually**

4. Get My Own Place [#11 29 by 29]
**I could probably bold this one as I know it's going to happen.  I have the paperwork done I just can't move in until Feb 11**

5. Watch the Sunrise on New Year's Day [#14 29 by 29/#81 101 in 1001]
**You can read about it here**

6. Send Christmas Cards [#15 29 by 29/#86 101 in 1001]

**I'm on book 5 right now**

8. Do a 30 Day Fitness Challenge [#19 29 by 29/#15 101 in 1001]

9. Build a Snowman [#27 29 by 29/#84 101 in 1001]
**I technically did this in the fall...it was November but whatever I'm counting it**

Winter Goals

Next Tuesday I'll give you a final recap of how I did on my fall goals.  Today however I'm giving you my winter goals.  I still have almost a whole year left on my 29 by 29 list, I've only been 29 for 39 days now, & I have about 15 months left on my 101 in 1001, but because I've decided this is the best way to ensure I get as many of those goals accomplished, all of these came from my 29 by 29...which came from my 101 in 1001.

1. Donate Blood [#3 29 by 29/#42 101 in 1001]

2. Spend NYE with a Significant Other [#8 29 by 29/#13 101 in 1001]

Baby It's Cold Outside

Saying that this weekend was a cold one would be an extreme understatement.  Temperatures dropped to well below freezing (-21 with windchill at one point when I checked.)  Saturday I was supposed to work from 1p-9p.  That did not happen.  Our parking lot was filled with snow.  It came up to my knees in some parts (I'm 5'10").  So once I battled the parking lot (I was already going to be late at this point) I hit the road.  I got to the end of my street and then... bye bye windshield wiper.  It flew off.  Luckily my other one caught it.  So I went around the block back to my apartment.  I called in & told them either someone with a truck needed to come get me or I was not going in.  The decided that I just didn't need to come in.

Today wasn't a whole lot better.  On the bright side the snow had stopped.  Temperatures were still below freezing however.  I left early this morning, well a little before 9am, so that I could go get a new windshield wiper before work.  I nearly got stuck in my parking lot again.  Afte fighting with it I got out, got to the auto parts store, & safely to work.  I came home later in the evening to a freezing cold apartment.  It had been cold for awhile but down right freezing with this weekends temperatures.  Thanks to heating problems & super drafty windows are apartment was a balmy 48 degrees by the window...  the rest of the apartment wasn't much warmer.  So we turned on the oven for awhile which helped a little but not a lot.  I now lay under two comforters in jeans, long johns, socks, slippers, a long sleeve shirt, & a fleece & I'm comfortable.  Not hot or very warm by any means.

Is it spring yet???
