Recent Amazon Buys Vol. 1

I had originally intended to do this at the end of each month but since I disappeared for a hot second that didn't happen.  Rather than wait until the end of March & share 3 months worth, I'm going to do 2 this month.  One sharing my January/February buys & the other sharing purchases from March.

Summer Boho Polka Dot Sleeveless V Neck Swing Midi Dress with Pockets - Dark Blue - $22.99

Owl Succulent Planter (GIFT) - $9.99

Livin Like Hippies

Yesterday I recapped my trip to Waco to visit Magnolia Market and such.  Today I'll be sharing about the little trip Kayla & I took to Lindale.

After brunch with some friends, which I'll talk more about tomorrow, Kayla & I headed off to Lindale to check out Miranda Lambert's Pink Pistol & Red 55 Winery.

As girls who were formally fairly obsessed with Miranda Lambert, this was a bucket list item for Kayla & somewhere I was excited to go again.  #TeamMiranda

We did some shopping first before sampling all 8 of her wines.  Kayla figured it was smarter to shop pre-alcohol.  This time around I just got a coffee mug & some coffee.

After checking out her store & the winery we went next door to Love & War In Texas for some chips and queso as well as a salad... because we are now adults who know that sometimes in the middle of eating all the less than stellar food you just need to eat a salad.

And now time for the picture overload.

What I'm Wishing For

I frequently add stuff to my Amazon wishlist.  I use it for my birthday list, my Christmas list, or "hey I have some Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks & need to spend money" list.

I currently have $5 in credit from a gift card & it's killing me.  However, it's not enough to cover much so I'm waiting.  Here's what's currently begging me to purchase it.

New Year, New Clothes

A lot of my teaching clothes I've had since...college.  Keep in mind this will be my 6th year teaching.  I have gotten a few new pieces a long the way, but I've also gotten rid of clothing along the way.  Needless to say it was time to get some more professional clothing.  This past weekend was tax free weekend so I went out & bought a few things.  I didn't go crazy because I'm still trying to watch some of my spending & pay day isn't until Friday.

I apologize that the pictures are just of the pieces on the hanger but we all know how it goes when I try to be a fashion blogger & show off clothing.

What are some places that you like to shop for clothing that is either strictly professional or pieces that can be good for work & going out??

What's New With Me & My Closet

I very rarely buy clothes.  And when I do it's usually a racer back tank top or a t-shirt from a concert.  Even that isn't all that often.  I have clothes that I've had for 5 plus years & still wear on a regular basis.  I decided it was time for a wardrobe overhaul.  Now granted I will still keep some pieces I'm sure, the basics or the ones that aren't half a decade old, but for the most part my plan is for every piece bought, an old piece goes out.  I'm linking up with Kristen for "What's New With You" ... or in this case, my closet.
