I Plead The 5th

Happy Monday everyone!  Today is the real start of my Thanksgiving break.  I didn't have to set my alarm for 5 to get up for work.  I just had to set it up for 5 to get everything packed up and get ready for the second half of the drive to Minnesota.  Tomorrow I'll blog about the two day drive from Texas to Minnesota so today I'm just going to share my Friday & Saturday with y'all.  Have a fantastic day & week everyone!  Linking up with Biana!

Friday
Friday was a WEIRD day.  The day started out with a staff v seniors volleyball game.  No I didn't play.  Yes I am the only volleyball coach that didn't.  The staff won though!  Clearly the seniors were a mess as seen above.

The rest of the day was just, off.  We were on pep rally schedule because of the game which meant that classes were all shorter than normal.  I gave my kids a work/movie day.  Apparently during the pep rally a couple kids got into a big fight.  One of the kids being one of my former volleyball girls.  Second period the other kid got arrested.  Third period I got a kid watching porn on his phone & when I called him on it his response was "but I'm watching it."  Lord help me.  Fourth period I was in a classroom where some kid had sprayed pepper spray first period.  Luckily the rest of the day was smooth sailing.  I was still more than ready for the day to end.

After work another one of the coaches at the high school, and one of the coaches from the junior high, & I went to Chuys for happy hour.  I didn't order any food.  Instead I just ate chips and creamy jalapeno dip.  When I told the waiter to bring me a "shit ton of creamy jalapeno" a shit ton he brought me.  He also told me I did not have to share lol.  Hats off to David!

Of course margaritas were also involved because after how the day/week had gone I deserved it.  It was a lot of fun to get out & hang out with some coworkers/friends.  It had been too long since I had gotten to see either of them outside of a work setting.  That night I was so exhausted I was in bed & asleep by 9.

Saturday
Saturday morning Nash let me sleep until 6.  We got ready & headed to the dog park to play.  For those of you that don't know, Nash is part Corgi & part Blue Heeler.  When both a Corgi & a Blue Heeler showed up at the dog park & they all started playing I completely geeked out.  It made me so happy.

I was supposed to donate blood in Denton at 10 but I cancelled the appointment.  Denton isn't exactly super close to me & I always wind up sitting there for 1-2 hours before I get to leave.  I had too much to do & just didn't feel like spending all of that time sitting around.  Instead I got some laundry, dishes, & food prep done for the trip.  I also eventually got everything packed up before going to a concert but after watching lots of Parenthood.

Kip Moore was playing at Billy Bob's.  This is the 3rd time he's been there since I moved up to Dallas-Fort Worth & only the first time I've successfully seen him there.  The first time I was dating someone who, even though I had paid for VIP tickets, made us leave after like 5 songs.  The second time I was working at the bar & just flat out couldn't go.  Third time is the charm though.  If only I had paid for meet & greets... oh well.  It was still amazing.  I got to get pretty darn close for only paying $25.  I absolutely love him.  I'm sure if I sat down & really thought about it I could count the all up, but much like Eric Church I don't even know how many times I've seen him before.  Kip Moore & Eric Church always make me so incredibly happy & giddy.  They still make me feel & believe in the magic of music.

Jordan Davis & Drake White both opened up for Kip Moore.  They were both also so good!  If you haven't heard them yet, go to Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, whatever you listen to music on & go listen right now!  At one point those two came back on stage & sang with Kip & his band the Slowhearts.  I didn't get home until about 1 am & even though I had to wake up at 5 am on Sunday to start the drive to Kansas City, it was still completely worth it!
