This past weekend was the only weekend in September that I didn't have some type of obligation at least one of the days. I'm so grateful that I had the whole weekend to do what I wanted to do because I have an after work training today & then games on Tuesday & Friday this week. Linking up with Biana! I hope y'all had a fabulous weekend!
Friday
Normally on Fridays I get to leave an hour later for work because it's game day & we don't have practice before school. However, this past Friday some of the girls went to a couple different elementary schools in the district to greet the kids as they came in. That night we played another high school in our school district, we won. The games went by fairly quickly & because it was so close I got home at a pretty decent time for a Friday night.
Saturday
Saturday morning Nash & I were up at 5. This was by his choice not mine. I decided to make the most of it though & enjoy some coffee and breakfast on my patio & then lounge around for a bit. Around 7 we went to the dog park for the first time in like a month. Nash was over the moon. we stayed there for a couple of hours & then I went to go get my nails done.
I was originally going to go to the same place that I always do but I really didn't want to make the drive. I love that nail place, & it's pretty much the only place I've gone to since I moved to Fort Worth 2 years ago, but I now live 25-30 minutes away. So I decided to try out a new place. I managed to find a place that does the powder dip manicure & has similar prices to where I was going just 10 minutes for me. Much better. I decided to go with gray & silver for my nails & a dark purple for my toes. After my mani/pedi I went home to let Nash out & eat quick before heading off to donate blood. I don't even know why I bother to make appointments anymore. They are never on time because they allow walk ins mixed right in with the people that made appointments. My appointment was for noon. I didn't have needle in my arm until around 1. Luckily my blood flows fast once I do start donating. I headed home & then Nash & I hung out for a few hours.
About 4 I left again to head to Lower Greenville. I met up with someone at the Truckyard & we hung out there drinking, eating, & talking for a few hours before walking down to Granada Theater because I had won Against Me! tickets from Dallas Observer. We didn't last long. We stayed for part of the opening band & then decided to leave. So we walked back towards the Truckyard & just bounced around from place to place on Greenville. The night ended with Greenville Avenue Pizza Co in my car. I was so exhausted that I passed out on the couch when I got home. Even though he had free reign of the living room & the kitchen Nash was really good & just slept on the couch with me.
Sunday
He was also very considerate & didn't wake me up between 4-5 & like he normally does. In fact I didn't wake up until almost 7 (which really was only like 5 hours of sleep). I fed Nash, took him out, & he let me go right back to sleep. In fact he let me be lazy & hungover on the couch most of the day. He decided to be lazy right along with me. Around 2:30 I was finally productive. I went to the grocery store, I did meal prep, I did laundry, I did dishes, I got some grading done. For being hungover most of the day I was very productive! My plan for this week is to try to clean a little bit each night so that when the weekend does roll around I shouldn't have to do any.
haha glad you had a weekend free and that Nash let you sleep. So important. I tell you man, get a cat, the litter box is the answer to all your woes lol (ps i still love dogs)
ReplyDeleteThat was really nice of Nash to let you sleep. Dogs while so cute, are so much work. My sister isn't a fan of sleeping over her boyfriend's house cause his dog always walks them up at 5am. Always and it drives her crazy. ahhaha
ReplyDeleteGood idea to clean a little each night. Aww sweet Nash! Yes my Daisy let me sleep til 7 Sunday and I gave her an extra treat! Lol
ReplyDeleteLOL I went out & bought him new treats.
DeleteYou had a much more productive weekend than me! Congrats on the win Friday. Nash is such a cutie!!!
ReplyDeleteUgh I used to hate when Lola woke me up at the crack of dawn. Now miss lady will sleep til 10am on the weekend while I'm up at 7am.
