Happy Monday everyone! I'm still on the weekend, as I'm sure many of you are, & I'm finishing my drive back from Minnesota to Texas today. I'll recap my weekend & link up with Biana tomorrow, but for now I'm linking up with Andrea for another edition of The Blended Blog Asks. This month is all about back to school!

When I was going to school in Minnesota we started after Labor Day. Now that I teach in Texas school starts before Labor Day.

8. Walk to school or ride the bus?
Haha a combination. I was spoiled. My parents never made me ride the bus that went by my house. My mom worked in town so in elementary school she would drop me off at my friends' bus stop so I could ride with them, in middle school she would drop me off at my friend's house where the same group of us from the elementary school bus stop would meet up & then walk to middle school together, in HS my mom worked across from the HS so I would just walk from her work until I got my own car & drove myself.

YES sweet school girl...LOVED reading your answers!!! For some reason because blogging helps you "know" a person, I knew what a lot of your answers would be! Isn't it funny, my degree is in social studies ed but I LOVED Math? Enjoy your day off sweetness!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that so crazy how much you can know about a person you've never met actually met? I enjoyed math too until my junior year ha.
DeleteLove this. I went to a school with a uniform, but everyone does here. I also went to an all girls catholic school so yeah my experiences are so different (although similar in many ways). Loved reading your answers.
ReplyDeleteI had a uniform from kindergarten through 12th grade, so having to pick out my own clothes in college was daunting haha. Also, YUM Gushers!!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the uniform rules. Some schools in DISD have them, others don't. It's mostly the wealthy schools that don't have them... which makes me wonder. I did love having a uniform because it took the guess work out of school... but that's just me, lol.
ReplyDeleteHistory/Social Studies was one my faves too! I liked math until I got moved down from the AP class my sophomore year of high school. While I needed to that year, I was SO BORED afterwards. That sucks that you planned your reunions and still couldn't go! Love your answers- I need to do this!
