So I went & took another week off from blogging... My current work schedule leaves very little room for pretty much anything. This past week I was home pretty much to sleep & that's it. The 2 nights I was home at a reasonable time I took Nyquil & went to bed at 8 because sick. I'm not going to sit here & make any empty promises that I'll be back consistently. Even harder than finding time to write is finding time to read & comment on everyone's posts. I do promise to read & comment on as many as possible when I can, even if it's sometimes a week later. Anyway, on with my weekend. Linking up with Biana.
Friday
Friday after work I headed home & hung out with Nash for a bit before getting ready to go out. Raeann & I met up at Star Cafe in the Stockyards for supper. It had been way too long since I had their steak salad. We then went to the rodeo & bar hopped around the Stockyards. The night ended with a heart to heart, friendship bonding moment. I got home insanely late. Like 4 am insanely late. Being up for nearly 24 hours straight was completely worth it though! It was my last free Friday for quite awhile & it was a night to remember for sure.
Saturday
6:30 came super early. I actually woke up in a panic. I didn't realize it was Saturday...I thought it was a week day. I was halfway through a text to the other freshman volleyball coach telling her I was going to be late when I realized that it was in fact the weekend & that's why my alarm hadn't gone off. Awake from the panic, Nash & I slowly got ready and then went off to the dog park for a couple of hours. Nash got himself good & tired, I was already tired because 2.5 hours of sleep, so the two of us slept pretty much the entire day. The only thing I got accomplished was grocery shopping and meal prep. Then it was back to napping for me & Mr. Nash. I took him to the dog park again that night but he was still so worn out that we lasted like 30-45 minutes.
Sunday
Sunday was another low key day. I had intended on waking up around 6 but didn't actually wake up until a little after 7. Nash & I got ready for the day & went to the dog park for a couple of hours. When we got back Nash napped while I got some lesson planning taken care of. I didn't get near as much done as I had wanted, I wanted to get the entire week set for my 3 different preps, but I did get one completely done & the other two started... Nash was feeling extra cuddly so he kept climbing behind me or over me to get on the pillow right next to me & lay on my lap so I couldn't get as much accomplished. However, he's rarely super cuddly so I chose to let him instead of getting more work done. A little after 8 I took him out & then put him to bed so I could at least get this post finished, even if I didn't get the rest of the week typed up like I had also planned. #Priorities
I have a short work week this week because I'll be heading back to Minnesota on Thursday for a wedding. Mr. Nash & I will be driving up there together. You can follow me on IG or Snapchat (nrthmeetsouthe) to follow along with that journey. This will be Nash's first big car ride so it's sure to be an adventure... I'll definitely do some type of recap of it when we return.
