The February Concert Series Begins

With the exception of Friday, it was pretty much a non-picture weekend.  I didn't even really post on Instagram.  I did have a really fun weekend though!  Linking up with Biana.

Friday
After work I drove home so that I could change really quick before picking up my friend Katherine.  Our directionally challenged selves got lost trying to find the train station.  We eventually found where we needed to be, although not the stop we intended, & still wound up there right on time.  After some struggle with the parking meter we were at the platform buying our tickets just as the train showed up.  We got on & made our way to American Airlines Center in Dallas.  We had wanted to get there early so that we could eat & drink BEFORE going into the concert.  No such luck.  We were there before doors opened but not early enough to endure a 45 min wait anywhere so we headed back to AAC.

For the 7th time I got to see my all time favorite Mr. Eric Church.  I seriously love that man so much.  For his current tour, the Holdin My Own Tour, he has no opening acts.  It's just him for two 90 minute sets & it was the best 3 hours of my life.  I'm pretty sure I was acting like a 13 year old girl at a Backstreet Boys concert.  We made it back out with about 10 minutes to spare before the last train back to Fort Worth arrived.

Saturday
I don't really recall what I did during the day.  A whole lot of nothing since I didn't go to bed until 3 am.  I did go to the grocery store so that I could get stuff to make creamy jalapeno dip & pickle dip to live off of this week.  I'm moving on the 11th & I didn't want to have leftovers to move with me.  I was potentially going to see Ryan Bingham in concert that night but those plans fell through which actually turned out to be a good thing.  I had a last minute unplanned date instead.    We were supposed to go to the rodeo but I was running late so we had dinner followed by popscicles, followed by walking around the Stockyards, then a bar down there, then a bar elsewhere, then a jazz club, & then a restaurant.  We finally went home when we got kicked out of the last place because it was closing time.  Once again I wasn't in bed until 3 am.

Sunday
I woke up way too early considering when I went to bed.  I made some coffee & then did absolutely nothing.  I had planned on cleaning & getting some stuff packed up to move but that didn't happen.  Around 1:30 I headed to Dallas to Helen & Caleb's to watch the Super Bowl.  Caleb is from New England so they obviously wanted the Patriots to win.  I have no feelings towards the Falcons at all & assumed the Patriots would win so I was also hoping for a Patriots win.  I had 2 bets going on the game as well.  I won both.  One was with the guy from the night before.  Depending on who won, the other person had to plan the next date.  The other bet was with a friend.  We were both pulling for the Patriots so if it was a blowout (13+ deficit) he won, & if it was close (12 points or less) I won.  I won which means I get a vinyl record of my choice.  At the end of the 3rd quarter though I had had enough.  I thought the game was over & had to drive back to Fort Worth so I left my friends' place.  Clearly I was wrong.  Luckily the guy from the night before asked if I wanted to meet up so I was able to watch OT, & the Patriots win, at a restaurant with him.

Next weekend I'll just be moving but after that I have concerts the other two weekends.  I'm pumped!
