The Last Friday In January

What I Was Up To
Monday: I didn't even publish a blog post.  I had a weekend recap started, didn't feel like finishing it on Sunday night & so decided to say screw it.  Monday was long.  We had open house from 6-7:30 at school.  I could have gone home in between work & open house but I had decided that it would be a waste of time & instead I would just read & get work done for grad school.  That is not what happened.  Instead another new teacher & I hit up happy hour for margaritas in between.  That was definitely the right choice.  Open house was not bad at all.  I had 6 or 7 parents come see me & the time flew by.  Time flies when you've had a margarita or 3.

Tuesday Because I didn't get any of my stuff for grad school done on Monday, Tuesday had to be the day.  I had a reflection due that night.  So what did I do when I got home?  I said fuck it & took a long bubble bath while watching Shameless.  Don't worry I did get my reflection done...and I got 100 so procrasination for the win!

Wednesday & Thursday Right after work I headed up to class.  This is my life now until May.  Pray that I survive.  3 classes may have been a bit much.  I just need to get into a routine & I'll be fine.  Thursday after class I got drinks with my friend Emily who I hadn't seen since fall semester had ended which is crazy considering last year I saw her every single day at work & then sometimes on weekends as well.

Good Reads From Around The Web

  8. That margarita looks sooo good. (Alcohol that doesn't taste like alcohol is about all I can handle haha!) I can't believe you're taking 3 grad classes AND working full-time! That's a lot! I took 3 classes a semester in grad school, and I wasn't working! So you're like a superhero. You definitely deserve a procrastination bubble bath!

    1. It was so good & definitely not alcoholy. Yeah I think I may have taken on more than I should have. Oh well I'll survive. I'm probably going to wind up taking this coming Tue off just so I can get ahead with my classes because my weekends in Feb are booked.
