So basically I've gotten really bad at taking pictures again, except for when it comes to Instagram cause I'm rocking that shit. I promise to at least try to be good at taking pictures while I'm in Minnesota & then definitely in 2017. Linking up with Biana.
Friday
Anyway, so late Friday morning I had an interview in Dallas. I went to bed wanting a Big Mac so that's what I had for breakfast. Ah adulthood. I then went into my interview. For once I wasn't nervous at all. Well, I was but for once I didn't show it. No turning red, not rambling, just calm, cool, & collected. Even though I had just had a Big Mac breakfast, I was in Dallas & REALLY wanted tacos from El Come Taco so I headed there after the interview. Those tacos are so amazing. The first time I was there I had a tongue taco & a chorizo taco. The lengua wasn't bad but the chorizo was so so good. This time I got chorizo & cow head. The cow head may have even been better than the chorizo. I eventually want to try all of them. Once I returned to Fort Worth I ran a couple of errands & then just lounged around the house watching Dallas & packing for my trip back to Minnesota. I use the term packing lightly as I fly Spirit & only bring a personal item. So really that just meant put my planner, a couple of notebooks, a couple of books, & then power cords for my electronics in a backpack. Despite having a 3 am wake up time the following morning I could NOT sleep. I think I finally fell asleep around 10:30-11 & then woke up pretty much every hour.

Saturday
At 3 am on Saturday morning my alarm went off. I did not want to wake up. I made some coffee, grabbed my things, & headed to the airport. Waking up early sucks but getting to watch the sunrise from 30,000 feet is so incredible. Watching the sunrise anywhere is one of my favorite things but there's something special about seeing it while in the air. Somewhere between 8:30-9 in the morning I landed in Minneapolis. First & foremost I got myself some Caribou Coffee...so much better than Starbucks. My parents picked me up & we went to brunch before heading home. Once home a whole lot of lounging was done. I painted my nails purple & yellow for the Vikings game on Sunday, watched a couple of Hallmark movies, & played around online. I was so exhausted from my early morning that moving & doing a lot was not on my radar.
Sunday
I slept in until about 8:30, got myself some coffee, ate breakfast, & then just lounged around for a couple of hours until the Vikings game started at noon. By halftime I shut that off. 34-6? What a joke. Instead of screaming & crying at the TV we baked Christmas cookies instead. We made snickerdoodles, peanut butter blossoms, M&M cookies, and red & white crinkles. After 4.5 hours of baking I was over it & exhausted. So we all relaxed some more until my brother came out around 6 so we could decorate the Christmas tree. We made delicious appetizers for supper. We made sausage stuffed jalapenos, pepperoni/cheese crescent rolls, & taquitos. Basically it was a day filled with baking & cooking. We didn't end up decorating the tree. Instead we got sucked into watching Four Christmases & Home Alone 2.
First of all, I'm apologizing now because we are Hoosiers ya know, and Colts fans. BUT your off the shoulder sweatshirt is darling and so are you!! Happy Merry Monday!!
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't even let the Vikings upset me lol it's not like this type of thing hasn't been happening my entire life with them. And thank you! Have a great week!
DeleteYay for being back home!! Early flights are never easy, but the sunrise is a perk! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteAppetizers for supper is my favourite! Sounds like you had a really great weekend, glad you got home safely!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job rocking your interview! I always get super red and rambly too, ugh. (And that continues after getting the job haha.) Those cookies sound delicious! And I'm cold just looking at that picture from the plane in Minnesota, brr!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm still waiting to hear one way or the other on it. Which I suppose could mean I didn't get it but I'm trying to be optimistic that they're waiting until after the holidays.
