My Last Week As A 27 Year Old Starts Now

I almost titled this "My Last Weekend As A 27 Year Old" but that would be a lie.  My birthday isn't until Sunday so really that whole weekend I'll still be 27.  However, this is my last week as a 27 year old.  How many times can I say 27? 27. Ok done.  I am praying that the week flies by & then the weekend takes its sweet sweet time.  I work one or both jobs everyday this week Mon - Thur.  I also have an interview today & class tomorrow.  Friday morning I will be driving myself from Fort Worth to Memphis to pick my friend Alicia up from the airport & then we'll be driving the rest of the way to Nashville together & then spending the weekend there before turning around to do the exact opposite on Sunday.

On with the weekend recap...

Friday
I felt off most of Friday.  Not only did I keep forgetting it was Friday (& thinking it was Saturday or Sunday already) I was just in a little funk.  I was supposed to have plans that day but they got cancelled that morning & it put me in a mood for most of the morning.  1)I was really looking forward to those plans 2)I had turned down countless subbing jobs & taken that night off of work because of said plans...now I was out that money.  There was actually a point in the morning that I almost called work & said "hey, I can come in tonight if you need me" but ultimately decided I'd be much happier in the long run if I didn't go in because working Oct 5-Oct 20 with 0 breaks would make for an extra crabby me.  So I stayed in bed longer than I normally would, drew up my next tattoo (the intense basic white girl-ness of it is not lost on me,) talked to some friends on Facebook, & then finally got up.  I slowly ate breakfast & read blogs, & somewhere around 1-2 I finally hopped in the shower (the beer is the same beer...just saying.)  Afterwards I read more of my book, typed up some blog posts, & ran some errands.  As much as I really wanted my plans, & as nice as the money would have been.  I am glad that I got a day to do whatever I wanted to do & just chill out.  When I went to Target to pick up a few things for the week I was surprised to see that I got paid from subbing & even though I knew it was coming I had forgotten about it & it was about $30 more than I was expecting.

Saturday
I woke up with good intentions of of getting all of my school work done.  I did get one paper edited so that's a start.  I only had another paragraph to write so I decided to put it off until Sunday.  Instead I started watching season 2 of The Ranch & painted my nails.  I got a load of laundry and the dishes done as well.  Mostly I just lounged around though knowing I'd have to work at 4 & wouldn't get off until somewhere between 2-3 in the morning.

Sunday
I was so grateful that I had traded shifts with a girl the night before.  I was supposed to go in at 2 but instead didn't have to go in until 4.  That meant I got to sleep a little longer without feeling rushed.  I had a part of a paper I needed to finish as well as a couple of errands I needed to run.  I also played around with more tattoo ideas.  I emailed a tattoo shop to see if they could give me an estimate.  I'm hoping they get back to me soon because I'd like to get it done when I get back from Nashville.  While I was at Target I bought a new planner.  I made the switch from a July-June planner back to a January-December planner.  I'm already in love.  While walking back & forth trying to find the shortest line I had no choice but to pick up a package of Double Stuff Oreos.  Work was insanely slow.  I was only there for 4 hours & that was longer than necessary.  Because I got off early for once I watched more of The Ranch on Netflix & played with my new planner.
