Back To School, Back To School

One

Monday was our first official day back at work even though I've been back since the 30th.  After all of our staff development meetings, our athletic director had a meeting with all of the coaches from 4-5:30 & then we all had to work out/learn a new program he wants the athletes to do until 7:30.  By Wednesday morning every part of me hurt.

Two

Tuesday we had a basketball game 2 hours away from school.  I didn't get home until midnight only to turn around and wake up again at 5 am.  I will never understand why we play schools so far away...especially when our school is located in the DFW Metroplex.  Our game today is just over an hour away which is way better than 2 hours but still makes for a long night.

Three
One of the basketball managers has a puppy that her family is looking to get rid of for free because they already had an older dog & the two don't mesh well.  Mr. Midwest has been talking about getting a dog so I asked her to send me the pictures so I could send them to him.  I knew full well that he'd most likely say no because he isn't set up for one yet & pretty sure he wants a house first.  Still I thought it was worth a shot, plus look at that face.  His exact response was "lol don't you do it.  I know what you're thinking ;)"  Needless to say that adorable puppy will not be chilling with me or Mr. Midwest.

Four

Because the above game was so far away the girls get fed.  We ordered pizza.  There were 14 medium pepperoni pizzas on the bus...16 pieces of pizza were for 3 coaches...I started Whole30 on Monday.  The struggle was so real y'all.  However, I successfully did not eat a single slice.  When we got back on the bus at 9:30 at night though & there was a box sitting in the seat behind me I seriously opened it, thought maybe just a pepperoni, then made myself shut the box.  Fingers crossed this gets easier.  Just knowing I can't eat certain things is making me crave junk food more than normal.

Five

I went to my first Barre class on Wednesday & it was hard as hell, & I probably looked like a fool, but I really liked it.  I went back again yesterday & will be going again on Saturday.  I'm a little worried that I'm going to totally fall in love with it & want to continue it after this month.  I got a great price for the first month but can't afford the price tag of subsequent months on a regular basis.  I'm thinking after my month is up I'll join 24 hour fitness & start Bodypump classes.

  9. I remember traveling more than an hour for a game. It's stupid. I'm not sure if I would have been able to resist pizza. I have ZERO will power WHEN I tell myself I'm not allowed to do/eat something. If I haven't told myself, then I don't want it anyone. Mind fuckary at it's finest.
I LURVE that Hello parody. I shared it forever ago on my FB page and to every single person that I know that likes Hello.
