Perfect Storm

Friday
While I was at work my would be roommate came & got his stuff.  This was my passive aggressive way of saying "take your shit & get out"...even though he hasn't been here a single day that I have.  It's just been so much drama.  I also tried to passive aggressively get him to clean his shower/tub that he left a huge mess...didn't work.
I had planned on going to watch the high school football game but it was raining off & on and I've been battling an upper respiratory infection so I just stayed home.  I did head to the mall to get a maxi skirt for work since they were on sale for $10.  I also bought a dress for work that I ended up returning on Sunday because it just hugged me in all the wrong places.  For the record it is so hard to go to the mall when you're trying not to spend extra money.  I tried on so many cute things but stayed strong & only wound up with the skirt for work.

Saturday
I finally got my hair fixed.  My hair grows really fast & I hadn't had it done since mid to late June so I had roots for days.  I also added in a few highlights to give my hair some definition.
I had an appointment to have the living room TV hooked up but since my roommate took his big screen TV on Friday there was no living room TV.  I thought about cancelling the appointment but decided I should move the TV from my room to the living room so that I'm actually utilizing the entire house rather than doing everything in my bedroom.
That evening I went to "see" Brad Paisley, Randy Houser, & Charlie Worsham in concert.  In reality I couldn't see anything.  As we always do when we go to concerts at the pavilion we just bring our own blankets/chairs/food/drinks & sit outside.  It's an open air venue so you can hear perfectly from the park outside & it's free sooo win win.  Brad finally played his song Perfect Storm which I'm obsessed with.  For those of you that haven't heard it I'll be sharing it Friday with my favorites.

Sunday
I did a lot of random things to wrap up the weekend.  I returned the dress I bought Friday, I prepped food for the week, I watched football, & graded everything for all of my B day kids so I can finally return it to them.  3 week progress report grades are due this week.  I can't believe how fast time is already flying.  Back to football...it was a great first week of football.  The Vikings & Texans won and the Packers & Bears lost.  All is right with the world.

  1. I'm all about free so the concert thing is pretty cool. You don't actually need to "see" them anyway.

  2. If I didn't live so far, I would totally take advantage of listening to concerts from outside the Pavilion. Everyone always looks like they're having a great time, plus you can leave before it's over to beat traffic without feeling like you wasted money.

  3. I love your idea of going to a concert! although I love to see the performers .. free is always a good thing. Also grading papers suck!
