Fourth of July Weekend 2016

I hope that you all enjoyed your long weekend!  Rather than give you a recap under each picture of every day, I'll just give you the run down up here because every day was essentially the same.  Friday was the only day that was really any different.  Friday morning Becky came over & we started working on a 1000 piece puzzle.  After hours of staring at the puzzle, we decided to go out side & go for a walk because we were alternating before laughing so hard we were crying at ridiculousness to getting stabby towards the puzzle.  The rest of the weekend can be summed up as bonfires & painting.  Lots & lots of painting.  My mom & I spent the entire weekend painting the front porch while my dad worked more on the chicken coop.  And that my friends, is my exciting Independence Day weekend in a nutshell.

  1. Glad you guys got so much painting done and I can't believe that I didn't have a hot dog this weekend - that seems like the most unamerican thing I could have done LOL! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  2. I think I would have lost my mind trying to do a 1,000 piece puzzle, haha. I have no patience at all. That is so cool that your parents have a chicken coop.

  3. YES to puzzles. We have been working on a 1000-piecer off and on for a week now haha. It's something fun/easy to do in between the crazy hours/schedules with a newborn. Glad you had a good long weekend! :)

  4. That puzzle looks awesome - I can't wait until we're in our new place and we can get back to puzzling! All the food this weekend looks great, too.

  5. Puzzles often use to make me stabby. Whenever that happened, I'd switch sections with whoever I was working with. Then magically, we'd start finding pieces that went together in the other person's section. We'd call it fresh eyes.
