Cowboys, Whiskey, & Westerns

Friday
During the day on Friday I met up with a couple of the other bridesmaids for my friend Kristie's wedding for lunch at a new Mexican place.  It was eh.  It wasn't bad but I've definitely had better.  It just didn't really have any flavor.  We met up to finalize plans for the bachelorette party that will be this coming weekend.  That evening I met up with Alicia & a few other people for the Isanti Rodeo.  I got to meet her boyfriend, I approve he's a good one.  We just hung around, watched some of the rodeo, drank a few beers, ate some fried food, & stayed around to watch the band, Maiden Dixie.  They're a Minnesota band, although they do have a couple of shows in Iowa & Wisconsin coming up.  I really like them.  I think they'd do well if they got picked up to go on a national tour with a bigger artist.

Saturday
Saturday brought more house/yard prep for the upcoming family reunion.  My mom & I finished the front porch & started working on the back deck while my dad did some work in the garage.  While I was out running errands I saw some caramels at the hardware store & had to buy them.  I got a cappuccino, butter rum, & sea salt.  The sea salt was by far my favorite because anything sea salt caramel is an A+ in my book.  The other two were good as well.  I had picked up a little bottle of Evan Williams Peach the day before because I love peach, whiskey, hadn't tried it before, & it was 99 cents.  That night I mixed some with Sprite.  It was really good.

Sunday
Sunday was a chill day & for that I'm thankful.  For breakfast my parents, brother, & I went out to eat at a little diner in town.  After breakfast my brother went home.  While back at the house my parents & I spent a large part of the day relaxing on the couch watching westerns.  It had stormed the night before so we couldn't start the second coat of paint on the deck.  Later in the afternoon my brother showed up to work on his car with my dad.  My mom planted some garden stuff while I worked on blog posts & my bullet journal.  I went out briefly to help her move some bricks & then decided to tackle the dishes.  My brother stayed for supper & then it was back to relaxation time.
