Barbacoa, Bonfires, & BBQ

Friday
Late Friday morning my mom & I headed out to run some errands.  I needed to get stuff for bachelorette party invitations & she needed to get stuff for flower pots & gardens.  Knowing that it was going to be in the 80s/90s I didn't even hesitate when getting picking out clothes.  It had to be a dress.  I actually own that dress in two different colors/patterns (beige & mint).  After a bunch of deliberation on how I wanted the invitations to look, and how much work/money I wanted to put into them, I finally had the supplies I needed.  We ran a couple of other errands & then chose Noodles & Company for lunch.  We don't have Noodles in Texas so I hadn't been there forever.  I got the same thing I always get, & actually the only thing I've ever had from there.  The Pesto Cavatappi with grilled chicken.  It is SO good.  I'm sure the other pastas/salads/soups are good too but hey I know I'm in love with that one.  After Noodles we ventured off to find flowers.  Those two pictures are just a brief snapshot of all the flowers my mom bought.  She always plants flowers but there's a family reunion at our house in July so she went flower crazy, & apparently still isn't done.  When my brother got off work that night my mom, dad, & I met up with him at a newer Mexican place in town called Mi Terra.  Because it's pretty much my favorite, I of course got barbacoa tacos.  When barbacoa is an option, I get it.  I also got a mango margarita.  The food was really good.  It was better than I was honestly expecting considering I live in a middle of nowhere Minnesota town.

Saturday
Saturday was a productive day.  My mom & I planted most of the flowers that she had bought the day before.  We also spray painted a few pots to plant more flowers in later.  We already have the plants for the yellow one, there are actually 2, but flowers still need to be picked out & purchased for the blue ones.  That night we made a little bonfire & my brother came over so we could roast hot dogs & make smores.

Sunday
I really don't know where Sunday went.  I feel like I didn't really do a whole lot & yet the day flew by.  I designed the bachelorette party invites & got them all set up so that tomorrow I can put them together & get them mailed out.  For an hour or two we went to my grandparents' to visit & mow lawn.  For supper that night my dad smoked & grilled some pork ribs & beef ribs.  Like I said, I feel like nothing really happened & yet the day was over in a flash.
