Sunday Social

Social Sunday

1. What is your favorite month & why?
I used to always say July.  I think just because summer was freedom.  Summer is still freedom to me but honestly I prefer fall....I really prefer Minnesota fall....but that's neither here nor there.  My birthday is in October, Halloween is in October, hypothetically weather gets cooler...

2. What is your favorite holiday & why?
Thanksgiving.  The food is the best & you get all the family time without all the gifts.

3. Are you getting the new iPhone or are you more of an Android person?
I have a Galaxy s4.  I've always had an Android...although even if I was team iPhone I wouldn't be able to afford a new phone.

4. What is the most thoughtful gift you've ever received from someone?
It's never been some big romantic gesture or super expensive gift.  It was:
-My first boyfriend giving me chocolate milk & sour patch kids on my way back to college because they were my 2 favorite things.
-Mr. Fireman giving me a "I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could" bumper sticker because it reminded him of me.
-Mr. Fireman giving me a cookie sheet, can opener, the countless times he's looked at my car, the time he turned down overtime to go look at a truck with me we both knew I couldn't afford, & the countless other small things he's done for me.

Those are the things I remember...the things that matter to me.

5. What is something you can't wait to splurge on?
Honestly, there's nothing I want to splurge on.  Right now I'm in a "I gotta get my credit card debt under control" mindset.  I want to get it paid off.  Of course it won't even come close to happening this month because I have another wedding, a pre-planned trip to San Antonio, & a pre-planned trip to Memphis.  I'm pretty sure I used my credit card once in September & that was right before pay day because I needed either groceries or gas but then on pay day I put that much on there like it didn't happen.  With the exception of the 2 trips that's what I'm doing for October too.  No credit card unless I'm in dire need of food or gas...aka...I need to stay alive ha.

  1. Totally agree about those thoughtful gifts...they may seem "little" but the meaning has so much more impact! Happy Sunday!

  3. I completely agree, October is my favorite month and Thanksgiving my favorite holiday. There's just something about stuffing my face with tons of food surrounded by people I love that makes it beautiful. :)
